Fort Kent Recovery Center To Shift Operations
AUGUSTA, Maine - The Disaster Recovery Center operated by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)
and the Maine Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) at the Municipal Center, 416 West Main Street, Fort Kent will close
at 6 p.m, Saturday, June 14th. Hours of operation until that time are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Disaster Unemployment Benefits Deadline Approaching
AUGUSTA, Maine - Disaster Unemployment Assistance (DUA) is available to people whose employment or self-employment has been lost or interrupted as a direct result of the recent severe storms and flooding in Aroostook and Penobscot Counties. Those who were prevented from starting a new job or self-employment, or who are no longer working normal hours due to this disaster may also qualify for DUA assistance.
